Love – After a one-day Kids’ EE workshop, Trinity Christian Church, Philadelphia PA, began KEE training with 4th and 5th graders, along with 10 Sunday school teachers. Zhili Wang reported, “It was wonderful to observe the older kids interacting with younger kids -- a loving family where kids care and love each other. Through our Kids’ EE class, we witnessed 5 new kids who recently attended our church make decisions to accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. And our Sunday school teachers now have a wonderful tool to share the Gospel with kids. We plan to use Kids’ EE as an outreach tool for new kids who come to our church. Pray that we will reach out.”
Servanthood – Simpson Creek Baptist Church in Bridgeport WV is reaching their Jerusalem and beyond with the Gospel. First they hosted a one day KEE workshop at their church. Next Joyce Wickland served as a teacher-in-training at our Coral Ridge Kids’ EE 2 ½ day Training. Then their church sponsored a KEE clinic in Quito, Ecuador, followed by a KEE VBS taught by members from their WV church.
Steadfastness – Welcome Aboard … OM Says YES! The Thompsons have served in the Caribbean for three years, always available to teach KEE clinics and raise up leaders. Now Don and Carla Thompson and two of their four children, Mary Grace and Christopher, will be traveling with the OM missionary ship, Logos Hope, for 9 months. In addition to the 400 missionaries onboard, the Thompsons will teach 17 Kids’ EE clinics throughout the Caribbean. St. Vincent, Granada, Tobago, Trinidad, St. Lucia, Barbados, Guyana, Suriname are just some of the ports of call. Don says, “God has given us a wide open door to reach and train the next generation of evangelists. We are truly grateful. We are ready, but this is a BIG, BIG mission project and we need about $27,000 and someone to rent our house for 9 months. So far we have $2,000.” Don continues by expressing God’s faithfulness – “My Father has the resources to pull this off, no problem! He has just not shown me where to pick up the rest of checks yet!”
Faithfulness – Pray and watch God work through 10 teachers who graduated in June from the first Vietnamese Kids’ EE Leadership Training at the VN Alliance Church of Midway City GA. There are approximately 220 VN churches in North America that we pray will follow their lead.
Passion – May 2009, Springhill Baptist Church in GreenbrierAR equipped 34 people from 9 churches. Their planning committee worked with passion, excitement and anticipation as they enhanced every detail of their 2 ½ day Kids’ EE Leadership Training.
Gentleness – Kathie Pabst, Desert Springs Church, Goodyear AZ says, “The Lord just keeps moving us along. During VBS we presented the Kids’ EE Gospel each evening and promoted the Kids’ EE cubes. On Saturday mornings we’re visiting new families that are attending our church. What an exciting time that is to experience the enthusiasm of the leaders and the kids as they go and share the Gospel. So many people have come up and want to be a part of KEE. We are experiencing an overflow of the time you spent with us in May - 4 day clinic, 1 day workshop, Sunday school and home school gatherings for Kids’ EE. It has encouraged and strengthened all of us to keep on. |
